Cursor is a desktop IDE with model selection and code completion. Review the Cursor API Keys documentation first: a custom API Key applies only to standard chat models, while features such as Tab Completion that depend on specialized models continue to use Cursor's built-in models.
Configuration steps
- Open Cursor’s
Settingsand enterModels. - Enable
Override OpenAI Base URLinAPI Keys. - Enter the values in the table below, then save your changes.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| OpenAI Base URL | https://api.tokensmarket.ai/v1 |
| OpenAI API Key | <YOUR_TOKEN_MARKET_API_KEY> |
| Custom Model | <MODEL_ID> from the Model Market |
- Select
View All Models→Add Custom Model, enter the ID of a model that supports OpenAI Chat Completions, and enable it. - Switch to the model in the chat panel and send a read-only question to verify the connection.
Override OpenAI Base URLcurrently applies globally to models that use a custom key, and some models that use the Responses API may not work with third-party compatible endpoints. Disable the override when using Cursor's built-in models. IfVerifyor Agent requests still fail, use Cline, Roo Code, Kilo Code, or OpenCode, which explicitly support OpenAI-compatible providers, and follow the Cursor documentation and official support guidance.
