Blackbox
Last updated: 2026-08-03; third-party tools can change at any time. If configuration fails, follow the latest official documentation.
Blackbox provides editor tools, a CLI, and its own API. The current Blackbox CLI documentation describes configuring its built-in provider with a Blackbox API Key. The Blackbox API documentation describes other clients calling the Blackbox API, not Blackbox clients calling an arbitrary third-party gateway.
Current compatibility status
The current public documentation does not provide a supported procedure for pointing the Blackbox VS Code extension or Blackbox CLI directly at Token Market:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Blackbox CLI credentials | Run blackbox configure with a Blackbox API Key. |
| Blackbox API Base URL | Blackbox's own API endpoint, not a third-party provider setting. |
| External OpenAI-compatible Base URL | Not documented for official clients. |
| Token Market API Key | Do not enter it in a Blackbox field whose purpose is unclear. |
| Supported alternatives | Use Cline, Roo Code, Kilo Code, or OpenCode. |
Until Blackbox officially documents external provider configuration, do not guess at Base URL, API Provider, or model fields from older tutorials. To use a coding agent through Token Market, choose a tool in this section that has official custom-provider documentation.
